Common questions about our structural engineering services, process, and credentials.
MASS Structural holds active Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenses in Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. This allows us to stamp and seal structural engineering documents for residential projects throughout these states.
Our standard turnaround is 3-4 weeks for most residential projects. We also offer expedited fast-track service for urgent projects. Turnaround depends on project complexity and current workload.
BIM (Building Information Modeling) is 3D modeling technology that lets us design your structure digitally before construction begins. Using ArchiCAD, we can detect conflicts between structural, mechanical, and plumbing systems early, reducing costly change orders and RFIs during construction.
Value engineering is the process of optimizing structural designs to reduce material costs without compromising safety or performance. We review plans to eliminate unnecessary steel and concrete, typically saving clients 10-20% on framing and foundation costs.
To provide an accurate quote, we need your architectural plans (PDF or CAD files), project location, and any geotechnical (soils) reports if available. Email these to [email protected] and we'll respond with a proposal within 1-2 business days.
We specialize in Graphisoft ArchiCAD for advanced 3D modeling and clash detection, but you don't need to use it. We accept architectural plans in any format—AutoCAD, Revit, PDF, or even hand-drawn sketches. We'll work with whatever you have.
Yes. We have in-house architecture and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) teams available. Whether you need structural engineering only or full coordination across all disciplines, we can tailor our services to your project. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.
